BWS 1.0.0

Description

Emutopia Comment: This release was part of an April Fools Joke. Take the below description with a pinch of salt.

BWS is a WonderSwan and WonderSwan Color emulator that runs on Windows and WINE.

BWS' motto is, "a jack of all trades is a master of none." BWS focuses exclusively and only on the WonderSwan. The burden of having to relearn how to configure and use each emulator for every system is reduced with BWS; because BWS is designed to be as easy to use as possible. For example, instead of focusing on minutiae like discoverability, BWS replaces the clunky menu bar that gets in the way of gaming with an innovative popup menu.

Rather than relying on complicated external mappings, BWS instead detects all it needs to from ROM images, because this information is always accurate[1]. This means you can just load your games and play them right away.

And instead of expending precious development resources on portability, BWS is designed exclusively for Microsoft Windows. This allows an optimal experience for the operating system used by the majority of PC users.

Furthermore, for personal, security, and competitive reasons, the source code to BWS will not be released to the public. But you can trust me that my emulator is very accurate. Nobody writes more accurate emulators than me. I may have benefited from public documentation and others' help on the WonderSwan to create BWS, but nobody said I had to share my work in return. So please don't ask for source code. It's mine; all mine. You can't have it.
