1. System Requirements

Since My Nes emulation core is designed to perform accurate emulation, it requires a decent hardware.

4. Installation

Windows users:

  1. Extract MyNesGTK package somewhere in your disk.
  2. Install Microsoft .net framework 4.
  3. Install GTK# "http://www.mono-project.com/GtkSharp"
  4. Install SDL.NET "http://cs-sdl.sourceforge.net/"
  5. Run MyNesGTK.exe.

Linux users:

  1. Extract MyNesGTK package somewhere in your disk.
  2. Install mono including GTK# with all dependencies: http://www.mono-project.com/
  3. Install C# SDL: http://cs-sdl.sourceforge.net/
  4. Run MyNesGTK.exe using mono runtime. Mono runtime (terminal) is recommended.

5. To stay up to date

My Nes GTK Edition depends on My Nes core. For every release of My Nes:

Download the latest release version then put these dlls in MyNesGTK folder, replace the old ones :
NesCore.dll
Renderers.dll
CPRenderers.dll (in Renderers folder).

My Nes GTK is fully compatible with My Nes 5.x core, any release version 5.x should work.

8.1 Video

8.2 Sound

  • Sound enabled: active this option to active sound playback. This option will not effect the sound emualtion in the core since it required.
  • Volume: adjust the volume level.
  • Frequency: select the sound render frequency.

    8.3 Paths

  • State folder: the folder where state files saved when you save state for a game.
  • Snapshots folder: the folder where snapshots are saved when you take a snapshot.

    8.4 Input

    In the input settings window:

    8.5 Palette

  • Edit palette of : select the tv system you want to edit palette for.
  • Colors: adjust the colors parameters for selected palette. You can use view or renderer window itself to see colors at real emulaltion runtime.
  • Save, Load: to save color values to file as present.
  • Save palette as .pal file: to save current palette as .pal file.
